Our new Job Board and much, much more!Learning Aligned Employment Program (LAEP)
LAEP provides a 100% subsidy to employ students for on-campus workThe Butte College Career Center administers LAEP to provide eligible college students with the opportunity to earn money to help defray their educational costs, while gaining education-aligned, career-related experience on campus. The staff or faculty member provides a paid learning-aligned opportunity (internship) for students that is 100% funded by LAEP.
Students can work up to 20 hours per week during the regular semester and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. Allowable LAEP work hours are based on students’ financial aid status/level of financial need which varies from student to student. Not all students will qualify for LAEP and for those who do, some may not be eligible to work the maximum allowable hours.
Work-Study
Hire Butte students through one of our work-study programsFederal Work-Study allows students to work on campus. This program pays 100% of a students wages but is limited to minimum wage. (Students may work up to 20 hours per week while school is in session and up to 39 hours per week during regular academic breaks.
ButteWORKs Work-Study allows students to work on or off campus in a field related to their major. This program
reimburses the employer a percentage of the student's wages. Reimbursement rates are
up to 75%.
EOPS Work-Study allows EOPS students to work on campus and earn up to $1800 per semester.
